This floating shelf is made of high quality American walnut (also known as black walnut) wood. Making these floating shelves is almost as exciting as using them on the favorite spots of your home. First, we carefully select wood slabs for the material of our floating shelves. When the right piece of wood is selected, we cut it into pieces. After that, a thorough sanding will provide a beautiful smooth surface. We apply hard wood furniture oil to emphasize the grain and protect the wood for the many years of your usage.
